I haven’t had the pleasure of knowing these two for very long, but I HAVE had the pleasure of now hanging out with Trisha and Ian twice and they are SO kind and sweet! I am so looking forward to Trisha & Ian’s wedding this July and so excited to share their beautiful Carmel engagement session with you all!

It was windier than we anticipated but what another perfect shoot in Big Sur!!! LOOK AT THOSE HILLS. I’m one lucky girl. I had the chance to photograph Matt’s proposal to Gladis and now I’ve been able to photograph their engagement and soon, their wedding! Big Sur was amazing but I’m even more excited for their WEDDING!

This sweet family! I always find it challenging to photograph “older” kids in a different way than babies. However, I have found that if the parents lead by example by having fun with it, interact with their children, make them laugh, and just EMBRACE being in front of the camera, your kids will normally follow suit. I’m not downplaying how hard it is to “act” comfortable in front of the camera, I know it’s not! But allowing yourself to give into the process makes it more fun and enjoyable for everyone!!

There is nothing particularly special that this family did except for be themselves! They acted silly, gave lots of tickles, kisses, funny faces and even talked about “poopy” for Nathan :) Cassie is also a photographer so the pressure was ON ;) Just kidding. It is always flattering AND slightly intimidating to have another photographer in front of my lens. We all do things a little different but I think we all did a good job of just having fun and creating some beautiful memories for their family.
