This sweet family! I always find it challenging to photograph “older” kids in a different way than babies. However, I have found that if the parents lead by example by having fun with it, interact with their children, make them laugh, and just EMBRACE being in front of the camera, your kids will normally follow suit. I’m not downplaying how hard it is to “act” comfortable in front of the camera, I know it’s not! But allowing yourself to give into the process makes it more fun and enjoyable for everyone!!

There is nothing particularly special that this family did except for be themselves! They acted silly, gave lots of tickles, kisses, funny faces and even talked about “poopy” for Nathan :) Cassie is also a photographer so the pressure was ON ;) Just kidding. It is always flattering AND slightly intimidating to have another photographer in front of my lens. We all do things a little different but I think we all did a good job of just having fun and creating some beautiful memories for their family.

This session is extra special because Kassi & Dave have become good friends of ours and we’re SO excited to be doing photography & videography on their wedding day! This was my first session in the rain (I mean really raining y’all) and. boy, did it rain. It just so happened to downpour this afternoon but we made the most of it and I’m super excited about the results! It was really fun to photograph their engagement pictures at the place that they’re also getting married at this September!

Love you guys!

I finally had the honor of photographing this cute family as they welcome their baby brother! While I wasn’t able to photograph Morgan & Parkers wedding, I was so excited to be able to capture this special time for them, becoming a family of 4! How beautiful is this momma?! I WISH i looked this cute at 32 weeks pregnant! ;)

I love these two! I met Shauna & Alfie at Crossfit (shoutout to Crossfit Gilroy!) and I remember, upon my first weeks at my new gym, that Alfie was telling us about how he was going to propose at Disneyland! Fast forward to now, they are planning their wedding in Maui and hired me for their engagement session in Big Sur! I love getting to know my gym friends outside of the gym and when I actually look like a normal person instead of a sweaty hot mess ;). Don’t let them fool you either, these two are badasses. (Beware of Crossfit lingo) Shauna keeps me on my PR toes by squat cleaning 155lbs and, even better, a freaking 100lb power snatch! Um yeah, impressed. We have a little friendly competition going on ;)

Loved spending a beautiful evening in Big Sur with these two and can’t wait to see how beautiful their wedding on Maui will be!!!
