San Jose Photographer Workshop – My First!

March 26, 2013

This is a first! Someone wanted to learn from ME? Well, that someone was my 5th grade teacher and her husband! And so we did…I “taught” the teacher! :) They have been taking photography classes all over the bay area and really wanted to gain more knowledge on portrait photography – right up my alley!

It was so fun for me! I have such a passion for photography, obviously, and it’s so great to share it with people that have such an interest and like to soak up all the info they can get! Here’s some words from Jill:

“Majesta you are amazing!! You have for sure found your calling. I learned so much today….and I feel much more confident! Thank-you for your time! I was honored!! I know I said I would not post photos until the weekend…but I could not wait!!! I really should be grading papers….but I was to excited! Thanks again!!! ….you are a natural teacher…..and you love what you do…it shows!!!!!”

It’s very humbling to have people seeking knowledge from me! Of all people! I am and was so honored, myself!

Here’s some pictures of her daughter, Laura, who modeled for us. We went over 4-5 lighting situations and how I get the soft/smooth/silky light that I do ;). Posing, composition, depth of field and how to use our cameras on MANUAL…dun dun dunnnnnn. Enjoy!
