Frequently Asked Questions
  • How far in advance do I need to book with you? As soon as possible is the easiest answer but it all depends on when you’re getting married! Some dates and months are more popular than others, but sometimes we have last minute availability! 
  • How long have you been in business? I photographed my first wedding and began taking clients in 2011.
  • How many weddings have you shot? 120+ weddings and elopements to date!
  • How would you describe your photography style (e.g. traditional, photojournalistic, creative)? I would describe my photography style as fine art: it’s timeless and romantic, yet beautifully artistic and traditional.
  • How would you describe your working style? I’m discreetly involved. I am not shy to politely ask Uncle Bob to step aside during cake cutting; or suggest alternate locations for family photos if the lighting is bad; and direct my couple during portraits. However, I want to allow moments to naturally unfold so that I can capture them genuinely also!
  • What type of equipment do you use? I use professional Canon and Mamiya equipment with a variety of lenses, bodies and gear.
  • Are you shooting in digital or film format or both? For years I shot digital only and for a few years I shot film+digital. Now, we are back to shooting digital exclusively with the depth and compression of film on digital medium format alongside digital 35mm.
  • Can I give you a list of specific shots we would like? I’m writing a blog post about this! Save yourself the task of making a list, but let’s chat!
  • What information do you need from me before the wedding day? Timeline, addresses, phone numbers and family format lists are the basics BUT I’ve got you covered with a custom questionnaire that I’ll send to you 1 month before your wedding day.
  • Are you the photographer who will shoot my  wedding? I, Majesta, am always your primary photographer! If your package includes a second photographer, a qualified photographer that Majesta has trained will be assigned to your wedding based on their availability.
  • If my wedding site is out of your area, do you charge a travel fee and what does that cover? No wedding is too far :) Travel fees are based per wedding however, we calculate costs based on actual numbers: cost of lodging for 1 or 2 nights (depending on the distance) and cost of travel either by car or plane, rental car, etc.
  • What packages do you offer? We offer multiple packages for both photo + video. We also offer a discount to couples who book both services together! 
  • Can I customize a package based on my needs? Absolutely!
  • What type of album designs do you offer? Do you provide any assistance in creating an album? We offer soft page linen albums and hardcover layflat albums in different sizes and different page lengths. Everything is customizable!
  • How long after the wedding will I get to see my pictures? Four to eight weeks is our turnaround. Please keep in mind that July-October is our busiest season and turnaround times are likely to be delayed.
  • What is the ordering process? You’ll get to view all of your images in an online gallery where you can easily order digital files, prints and other products to your cart.
