Point 16 Big Sur Wedding – Krissy & Steve

September 23, 2013

Oh, Krissy and Steve. These two are just a favorite of mine. We pulled up to the Big Sur Lodge to photograph Steve and his mates and standing outside was the man himself. We didn’t even get out of the car before we started catching up, just like old friends. We could not wait to hang with these two again; to meet their families and friends from all over the world and better yet, on their wedding day!

We laughed with them, I even teared up for them (I’m super emotional lately with my wedding being in less than two weeks! AHEM, this was written right after their wedding!!), we joked with them and their closest friends, just like we were one of them. They were excited, laid back, and ready to say their vows in front of their loved ones. See, they’re already married…visa’s, you know? But today, Krissy put on her white dress and red lips and Steve wore his custom suit and tie. Krissy even had to take a deep breath before walking down the aisle to shake out some nerves. It was a special day and one I surely won’t forget.

The length of this post is testament to the bond we made with Krissy and Steve, not just as clients, but as friends. As we drove from the Lodge to their wedding at Point 16, we recollected how these are the relationships we hope to build in our business. Not one’s built on “contractual agreements” but one’s where our hearts are excited and our job isn’t just a job anymore. Steve ended the night by saying to us…”It just felt like old friends, you know?…” Yeah, we know :)

We hope to see you two soon and hope you won’t be strangers when you head to the South Bay! Until next time… xoxoxo
