Zach and I arrived at the Natural Bridges State Park 30 minutes prior to our engagement session with Steven and Michelle. We scoped out this most gorgeous location and were blown away by the possibilities and couldn’t wait to meet Steven and Michelle and photograph them in such a beautiful environment! So not only is this place an amazing beach (with a FOR REAL “natural bridge”!) but it also is home for monarch butterflies! The Monarch Boardwalk is nestled above the State beach and is SO COOL. Seriously, check it out sometime. Or hire me for your wedding and I’ll take you;)
After we scoped out the Santa Cruz beach, we were greeted by a fun-loving couple, Steven and Michelle; friends of our previous couple, *now* newlyweds, and soon to be parents (OMG!) Mark and Bridget! (Congratulations again you two, I can’t wait to photograph your sweet little baby ;)
Walking through the Santa Cruz park with Steven and Michelle was a blast! We found ourselves doubled over laughing and just having a great time with these two. I truly feel lucky to have been able to photograph them in this new-found love they have for each other in such a gorgeous place like the Natural Bridges State Park. My favorite thing about their session was how their intimacy translated through the camera like no other.
All photographers write about how “love radiates” and “how in love they were” but seriously ya’ll, their pictures are true reflections of how much they care for each other. Thank you Steven and Michelle for sharing such a wonderful evening with us!
