As I was sorting their images emotions and memories flooded back to me. I teared up as I thought about how to write how sentimental and sweet her dad’s toast was. Or how Alex’s tears streamed down his face during the ceremony (and then so did everyone else’s). How her brother officiated their union and choked up as he welcomed everyone – it was just a special day y’all. Katie is a person that touches everyone with kindness and happiness; she radiates joy. And she truly found her match in Alex. I truly could not have wanted anyone else for my friend. In the short time that I’ve gotten to know him, I’ve seen his compassion, his kindness, his adventure for life and his work ethic. These two, they are special! Which leads to the tears pooling in my eyes now… whew.

As much as I wish I was an articulate, eloquent writer that could tell stories with my words, I hope that my craft as a photographer makes up for where I lack. My greatest wish for my clients is that their images bring back the sweet and cherished memories from their wedding day. So with that…one year ago today…
